I understand what I need to do. Focus on the matter at hand my purpose.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Purpose defined: 1. The object toward which one strives or for which something exists; an aim or a goal:
2. A result or effect that is intended or desired; an intention.
3. Determination; resolution: Ex. ( He was a man of purpose). According to his actions, how he handle his business. His behavior conduct, and attitude towards others
4. The matter at hand; the point at issue. Let the main thing always be the main thing.
Don t mess up your purpose by changing your destiny.
You control your destiny
God ordains your purpose
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. ( the prize winner) obtains eternal life, a never ending relationship. A earned place in Gods kingdom. Ownership of being his son he Owns me. I am his and he is mine.
Who are they that will win the prize?
1. The obedient
2. Sensible
3. The ones with wisdom
4. The blameless
5. The faithful ones
All others are at risk of spending eternity in hell.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
(Body transformation).
1. Corruptible: human body fleshy
2. Incorruptible: spiritual body spiritual
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
(without purpose, foolishly.)
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:
Control, Disciplined, in accord with God's purpose
lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I
myself should be a castaway.
Temperance defined: it refers to moderation,
self-control or self-restraint in what someone says or how they act.
For example, If you hold yourself back from uttering a sacrcastic comment, even though someone may provoke you, you are practising temperance.
Proverbs 15:3-6 I m watching and taking good notes.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good.
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
A prudent person is one who is:
1. discreet or cautious in managing one's activities.
2. practical and careful in providing for the future. And not stuck in the things of the past.
3. exercising good judgment or common sense.
I recommend
Being ready, Diligent, prepared, and alert looking for his return.
Things can sway our watchfulness, however Jesus is teaching in view of his coming
you must be ready, Not getting ready
A steward is left in charged of something that belongs to somebody else. God
A Stewart has a job to do, watch, pray, serve, observe, love, support, encourage, be careful and mindful of the things he/she possess that Christ has provided. Why?
Because everyone of us will have a day of reckoning. Giving an account of what's been said and done.
So be Wise, be sensible, and Faithful. God needs to know he can trust you.
You must be reliable.
God is looking for a people who is willing to stand no matter what. Are you the one or should God be looking for another?
Everything should be done in view of his coming.
Gold & Silver will stand
Wood, Hey and stubble will burn
Which level are you on or striving for?
